LORD’S SUPPER: We will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper on Sunday March 22nd. Let us invite the Risen and Reigning Lord Jesus to amaze us with His Grace as we come to His Table. Let us ask Him to increase our love for Him, one another, and His world. Invite Him to lovingly search our hearts and root out any bitterness or unforgiveness and to fill us with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. May He give us wonderful gifts of repentance and faith as we seek Him together.

DEACONS’ FUND: We will be taking this offering today to minister the love of the Lord Jesus to needs in our congregation, community, and on occasion in the USA and world. You may write a check to “Calvary” and please note it is for the “Deacons’ Fund.”

FELLOWSHIP TIME AFTER THE WORSHIP SERVICE: Today, everyone in the congregation is invited to a fellowship time of coffee and treats following the Worship Service, in the “fellowship hall” (the far right side of the sanctuary), The hostess for today is Mary Carter.

NEXT ELDER BUSINESS MEETING: March 25, 8:00 PM. Please pray.

YAC UPCOMING EVENTS … This Week: Willow Run Retreat… Meet at the church at 4:30 on Friday the 27th. See Lisa for packing list and medical release form. Will return Sunday afternoon about 2:00 PM.

CROWN FINANCIAL FREEDOM SEMINAR: We will be having a Crown Financial Freedom Seminar at Calvary on Friday April 3rd (evening) & Saturday April 4th (morning). This is a great opportunity to learn Biblical Truths on how to love the Lord Jesus and others in the use of our financial resources. This is also an excellent event to invite neighbors, coworkers, and friends to. You may pick up inserts in the vestibule to give to neighbors, coworkers, friends etc.

THE SUMMER MISSIONS TRIP NEEDS YOU! This summer Calvary will be sending a team of 17 to Omak Washington to work on the Coville Indian Reservation. In addition to construction (repair and maintenance on the homes of the elderly and needy) we will have an opportunity to minister through music to those at a local Senior Citizen Center and to a men’s and women’s prison. Financial and prayer support would be greatly appreciated as the cost per team member will be approximately $800. Checks can be given to the church office, made out to Calvary, with “summer mission trip” on the memo line.

MEN’S PRAYER/STUDY – NEW DAY/NEW TIME: Our future Men’s Prayer/Study meetings will be twice a month on Saturdays from 7:00-8:15 AM. April meeting dates will be set next week.

WOMEN IN THE CHURCH ACTIVITIES: We are having a Rice & Beans party March 31 at 7:00 PM. All ladies are invited. Please bring a snack to share with you to the party.

YOUTH AT CALVARY ACTIVITIES:

CAC Corner (Children At Calvary) CAC Needs: The CAC are looking for a special person to teach children grades 1-3 on Sunday nights this fall. Our curriculum is easy to follow and requires little preparation. If the Lord has blessed you with a love for children and you are interested in learning more, contact Rebecca Reams.

Parents Note: If your child is participating in an activity at school or in the community or has received recognition/award, please let Rebecca Reams know so we can share their accomplishments with the Calvary Family. March Birthdays: We want to wish a very Happy Birthday to Anna Dusenbury & Emily Lukhard who are celebrating birthdays in March!

Upcoming CAC Activities:

MISSIONS: Let us pray this week for Voice of the Martyrs & Open Doors Ministries as the Lord uses them in manifold ways to love the persecuted church around the world.

THE PCA: Let us pray for the PCA Administrative Committee and the Stated Clerk of our denomination Roy Taylor as they are involved in many administrative ministries including preparation for the General Assembly meeting in June.

DESTITUTE CHURCH: Let us pray for the over 600 million in India who live in deep poverty. Many of our brothers and sisters in Christ suffer great need in this nation.

PERSECUTED CHURCH – Colombia:
Having been sentenced to die by leftist rebels for holding Christian worship services in 2006, a pastor in Colombia’s northern department of Arauca took seriously the death threats that guerrillas issued on Friday (March 13), according to Christian support organization Open Doors. The rebels from the National Liberation Army (ELN) phoned a pastor of Ebenezer Church in Saravena at 5:30 A.M. telling him to meet them at a site on the Arauca River at 7:00 AM. When the pastor, who requested anonymity, arrived at the landing, the guerrillas took him by canoe to the other side of the river – into Venezuela – then drove him to a guerrilla camp some 40 minutes away. For the next three hours, the rebels warned him that area pastors had three options: cooperate with the revolutionary cause of the guerrillas, leave or die.

Although the ELN has been at odds with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), in Arauca they co-exist without conflict. FARC guerrillas control the southwestern department of Huila, where last November four Christians were killed. Farley Cortés was killed on Nov. 5 in Plumeros village, Hermes Coronado Granado was killed on Nov. 8 in Santana Ramos, and 10 days later a married couple, Dora Lilia Saavedra and Ferney Ledezma were also killed there. Guerrillas seized Saavedra, 40, and the 35-year-old Ledezma from the school where Saavedra taught on Nov. 18, bound them on the floor of an old house and shot them several times. Their pastor, Hernan Camacho, has moved with his family out of the area after receiving death threats. “[The FARC guerrillas] say that we, the evangelical ones, are their worst enemy because we teach the people not to take up weapons,” Pastor Camacho said.

SCRIPTURE MEMORIZATION: Matthew 11:28-30 ‘Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.’
